American-International Homestays is pleased to offer you a unique, culturally- rich travel experience. We invite you to live with a host family in your chosen region of travel — enjoying their warmth and hospitality, eating authentic home-cooked meals, and entering your hosts’ circle of friends and family. Experience these changing societies first hand, off the beaten path of the normal tourist route!

It is apparent that a Homestay is much more rewarding than conventional modes of travel, but believe it or not, it is also more affordable! With AIH, you bypass over-priced tours and accommodations. We eliminate the expenses of dealing with large corporations and pass the savings on to you.

For all Homestays, you may be across the globe, but you won't be on your own. You will:

• be met upon arrival at each city;
• stay in the home or apartment of your hosts;
• be escorted to the plane/train for your next destination;
• have a local AIH representative available in each city;
• have an American and local staff supervise all arrangements.

You may be a stranger, but you'll feel at home. Your hosts will:

• be on vacation and spend time with you;
• introduce you to local life;
• guide you around their city (4 hours per day);
• interpret local language and culture for you;
• feed you breakfast and dinner in their home;
• provide a private bedroom in a single family apartment;
• have a full bath and kitchen in each apartment.

You may customize your trip:

• usually one traveler will be placed in each home;
• single or family placements are possible;
• single accommodations may be guaranteed at a surcharge;
• smoking or non-smoking preference will be honored.

Costs outside of home including local transportation, restaurant meals and entrance fees are not included.

We organize Homestays for individuals as well as groups. Our travelers range from retired people in their eighties to college students, as well as families with children. All aspects of the Customized Individual Trip - from the hosting to the dates and the cities - are tailored to the unique needs of the traveler.

Each Homestay trip, either group or individual, is accompanied in each city by a local representative of American-International Homestays. Our American and local staff supervise all arrangements and are available to assist you. Local arrangements and host compensation are made in cooperation with independent local organizations, under American-International Homestays' direction.
