Columbia Business School Group Schedule: China

March 2

9:30 PM: Arrive into Beijing on United Airlines Flight 837.

Group will be met at the airport by the guides and buses and taken to the Great Wall Sheraton Hotel by bus.

Once they get to the hotel they will need to check in. That will be all for the first day.

Summary: We need buses from 9:30 PM until they arrive at the hotel.

March 3

7:00 AM until 8:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.

8:00 AM: The guides and buses must be ready and available at the front of the hotel.

9:00 AM until 11:00 AM: One bus will go to Ming Sheng Bank for a business meeting.
Ming Sheng will provide lunch for 40 people.

One bus will go to Price Waterhouse for a business meeting. We will provide lunch for 40 people after the meeting.

2:00 PM until 4:00 PM: Both buses will go to a business meeting at the Capital Mansion in Beijing. Both buses will return to the Hotel after the meetings.

7:00 PM until 9:00 PM: There will be a dinner reception at the Great Wall Sheraton. Both the reception and dinner will be at the hotel. The first hour will be a speaker at a podium and soft drinks served at the back. The second hour will be a buffet meal served at the back. The group will be seated at tables for the entire event. There will be 12 guests.

There will be a head table and a banner with "Columbia Business School" written on it. There will be two microphones.

Summary: We provide 2 or 3 meals and buses from 8 AM until about 5 PM.

March 4

7:00 AM until 8:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.

8:00 AM: The guides and buses will be ready and available at the front of the hotel.

9:00 AM until 12:00 PM: One bus will go to Motorola for a business meeting. Motorola is located outside of Beijing over 200 KM away.

10:00 AM until 12:00 PM: The other bus will go to a business meeting at Sino Chem in Beijing.

We will provide lunches.

1:00 until 6:00 PM: Both buses will tour the Forbidden city in the afternoon. They will probably tour separately.
6:30 PM until 8:00 PM: We will provide dinner in Beijing.

10:00 PM: After dinner the group will be on its own until 10:00 PM at which point the buses will leave to take them back to the hotel.


Summary: We provide three meals and buses from 8:00 AM until about 12:00 AM or midnight. We also provide sightseeing at the Forbidden City.

March 5

7:30 AM until 8:00 AM: Each traveler should put their luggage outside their room door for porters.

8:00 AM until 9:30 AM: Breakfast at the hotel. The group will check out of the hotel.

9:30 AM: The guides and buses must be ready and available at the front of the hotel.

10:00 AM until 1:00 PM: Both buses will go to visit the Great Wall.

1:00 PM until 2:00 PM: After visiting the Great Wall, we will provide lunch.

2:00 PM until 3:00 PM: After lunch there will be sightseeing at the Ming Tombs.

3:00 until 5:00 PM: The group will go shopping.

5:00 until 6:00 PM: We will provide dinner for the group.

6:00 PM: After dinner they must catch a flight China Eastern MU 5104 which leaves Beijing at 8:20 PM and gets into Shanghai at 10:10 PM. This flight has been recently changed at the request of the group. A group representative will pay the departure tax for the entire group from funds that I will send her.

10:00 PM: The group will be met at the airport in Shanghai and taken to their hotel.

Summary: We provide three meals and buses from 9:00 AM until about 6:00 PM in Beijing and 10:00 until arrival at the hotel in Shanghai. We also provide sightseeing at the Great Wall and Ming Tombs.

March 6

7:00 AM until 7:30 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.

7:30 AM: The guides and buses will be ready and available at the front of the hotel.

9:00 AM until 12:00 PM: The group will be visiting Volkswagen for a business meeting.

12:00 PM until 1:00 PM: We will provide lunch for the group.

2:00 PM until 4:00 PM: After lunch the group will be dropped off by three buses for business meetings:
Liz Claiborne (20)
Mary Kay (40)
Shindler Elevator (20)
The group wants to return to the hotel by 5 PM.

7:00 PM: We will provide dinner. There will be five guests and a speaker who will need a podium and microphone.

Summary: We will provide three meals and busing from 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM.
